Keeping Yourself Lean on Halloween

A single day of binge eating candy will sabotage your efforts towards weight loss. It will even make your gain 1 to 2 pounds. Luckily, it is still possible to keep yourself lean during Halloween. It won't be that easy though. Always remember that you can't just eat everything you want and expect to lose weight. Keep these Halloween bootcamp ideas tips and pointers in mind if you are looking for effective ways to keeping yourself lean on Halloween.

Before you go on your trick or treat trip, make sure that you eat a balanced meal. One effective way to curb your dessert cravings is to eat a balanced meal before you go out. Be sure to eat a balanced meal with your kids if you are going out with them. Having protein, veggies and fiber on your meals would be highly advisable.

Working out before your scheduled trick-or-treating would also be a good idea. By working out beforehand, your body will be much more sensitive towards insulin. As a result, your blood sugar will be much lower. Thanks to this, you won't be experiencing any fluctuation with your hormones as you eat candies and desserts. By working out on the pumpkin workout, your body will be better at digesting sugar.

Before you take a bite on your first dessert, it would be best if you have already ate a piece of fruit beforehand. It would be even better if you can drink 8 ounces of water beforehand. Doing this will give you the feeling of fullness. With this, you can reduce the amount of candies and desserts that you consume as you will already be feeling full.

You might want to think about sharing your treats as well. As much as possible, do try to give away the excess candies and desserts that you got. Having temptations around you will only make things harder for you when planning to lose weight. Why not give away those extra candies at work? Finding someone that can distribute these candies wouldn't be a bad idea too. Obviously, throwing them away would be wasteful.

If you are really serious about not gaining any weight, you should not eat any candy at all as you're listening to your Halloween workout music. Pulling this off won't be easy. Remember that candy is very addictive. Once you have a piece, it is likely that you will keep eating. If you don't want to gain any weight during and after the Halloween season, you must do your best to resist this temptation. If you do end up eating a lot of sweets, don't get discouraged. As long as you make sure that you work yourself out properly, you should be able to contain the damage.
